Fall 2021 Wreath Making Workshop a success!

On the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday before Thanksgiving 2021, the Friends of Silverwood Park offered a wreath making workshop, led by Rita Fox. The  $35 registration fee covered materials for an 18″ wreath and participants who wanted to make a swag could do so for an additional $25.

Broom corn grown at Silverwood Park was available for decorating the wreathes! How satisfying to know that a little piece of Silverwood went home with each participant.

For safety, each session was limited to 10 participants and current Dane County COVID guidelines regarding masks were followed.

Rita commented, “My biggest concerns were materials and prep time beforehand–Hats off to Volunteer Nancy Moskal for helping me two of the three days.” Participant and FoSP board member Kirsten Almo had this to say, “Shout out to Rita Fox for another great event at the park. So fun!! Rita puts in a lot of time to make this happen. It’s a nice fundraiser and community builder. Thanks Rita!!”

Thank you to everyone who came to the workshops and THANK YOU, Rita Fox, for sharing your time and talent!
